Camp Bread Recipe

At Leilani's request-here's the bread recipe! Enjoy! I think I'll post the 11 loaves version. I usually half this again, so it makes 4-5 loaves, depending on how large your loaf pans are.

Mix Together and set aside:

2 c. warm Water
1/2 T. Sugar
1/4 c. Dry Yeast

Add remaning ingred. into mixing bowl in order given:

10 c. warm water
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. salt
3/4 c. oil
12 c. whole wheat flour

Add Yeast Mixture

18 c. White flour

Mix until dough cleans the bowl-add flour as needed to make a nice, pliable, non-sticky dough. I use 1/2 and 1/2 on the white and wheat flour. (ei: add a cup of white, knead, add a cup of wheat, knead. Pour a little oil into the bowl at the end and let the dough rise once-covered and in a warm location. Punch down really well and form into loaves. Weigh at 20-24 grams.
May add wheat germ, molasses, cornmeal or oatmeal if desired (I have never done that, but I'm sure it would be good!)
Happy bread baking!
Oh, and bake it at 350* for around 25 minutes.
