Learning Time

Last week, Hannah's learning time school package arrived via UPS! How exciting! The thrills were in the air as we opened the package and purused the contents. Hannah was literally jumping up and down with suspense. She was completely thrilled and excited to begin a new adventure in the field of learning. A few posts back I told you all how happy I was at finding the My Father's World school curriculum. It is very Bible based and is a wonderful resource! I am especially digging their first few years worth of curriculum. I decided to take my birthday money and order the Toddler 2-3 yrs. Package for this school year and see how it goes. I couldn't be happier. We have begun delving into the program bit by bit. Hannah really loves it and it is seeking to stretch her little brain to further heights. Some of the things she is learning are: Basic Shapes, colors, numbers 1-5, dexterity, puzzle fitting, counting, sorting, etc... A very fun learning tool for sure. In addition to the 2-3 yr. old program, I also incorporated the lace-up shapes I had before mentioned. These are traditionally introduced in the 3-4 yr. program. In addition to My Father's World, we are also doing My Bible First for our Bible class. This is in addition to reading My Bible Friends books and her weekly Sabbath School lesson. I like the depth of My Bible First as well as the coordinating memory cards that go along with each lesson. We'll do one lesson per week. Also in the plans is to incorporate the Toddler Time I worked up towards the beginning of the year with weekly themes and activities to get the creative juices flowing. I think it sounds like a fun year of learning ahead and if I can just keep my act together and keep it moving along, it will be! :) We'll just take it day by day, week by week. One step at a time. It's really fun to plan and incorporate and see your child learn new things!
