Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

It works!
I had ran out of the "regular" (name brand) dishwasher detergent, and, since I hadn't been happy with how it has been working for me, I decided now was as good a time as any to experiment with homemade detergent. I tried a recipe that I found online. It is as follows: 1 c. Borax, 1 c. Washing Soda 1 c. Table Salt That's it! I use 1 T. (I had to experiment with what worked for me, more caused a film on the dishes) and 1/2 c. Vinegar poured into the bottom of the dishwasher. My dishes come out clean, the glassware is sparkling, there is no soap scum or film on the dishes. Works terrific! If you do indeed try this recipe and you think it doesn't work the first time around, give it another try, just experiment with how much or how little you use. Because, it really does work! Better than the commercialized stuff-for me anyhow!
