BFIAR:Week 2

This week has been alot of fun. We weren't able to make it to the library, so we improvised in many ways and had a blast with it all. The book we were supposed to be using had a story of a yellow ball that floats out to sea and back. So, we read a book that I had picked up on the Outer Banks this past spring. It is such a colorfully illustrated book on discovering the five senses at the ocean. So, we painted a picture of the Ocean and sky using many different hues of blues, green and purple and white. She painted while I read the story to her.

We traced a live-sized Hannah out on to paper and she colored herself. It is now adorning the back of her bedroom door. Very cute, I'd say! :)

We made cupcakes and shared one with Grandpa.

We also made the Farmhouse Crackers that I shared on the previous post.

We played in the kiddie pool and pretended it was a great big ocean. I pulled the kids slide over and let them slide into the pool.
Last, but certainly not least, we made "Spoon People". Such a cute idea! Hannah has named them Alex, Carol and Jeannie. And last night when I told her to go get her Jammies on, she protested that she could not go into her room naked because "Alex might see me!" LOL
We did other things too, much these were the main encounters.... :)
