Mission: Declutter! Master Bedroom

Ok folks! I'm going to try something a little different than I've ever done before. I'm going to post a challenge each Tuesday for you to work on for one week if you wish. We'll join back together the following Tuesday, see the progress we've made and begin on a new one.

Here's the challenge: Declutter your house, room by room. Starting with the Master Bedroom.

Take pictures of before and after. Post them to your blog, and then I will attempt a Mr. Linky on my blog in which you can link up to my post and show us all your progress! (If I can't figure out the Mr. Linky, I'll let you know and you can just post your link in the comments.)

My goal: Basically, work at decluttering all I can from each and every room. I want to eliminate everything possible. I'm tired of cleaning and re-cleaning areas, and I want to de-junk them, declutter them, re-organize them and clean them and basically have things more streamlined, neat and orderly and more eye-appealing. I've started on my Master Bedroom today and I actually did a little bit last week, and got rid of a lot junk in my Master Bathroom. It looks lots better now, but now it's time for some serious cleaning in the actual bedroom. I want to add curtains as well-which is going to be probably the biggest challenge to accomplish in a weeks time! And I also have a rather large picture that I want Mike to have time to hang for me, so... I've got my work cut out for me! My closet is a disaster. I might add some sort of shelving or organizing system-even baskets. Not sure yet, but I must needs have order!
So.... who's with me on this?! Start decluttering! Remember to take before and after pictures!

  1. Sounds like a plan! Except there's no point in me joining just yet--I've got to pack. But once I move, I'll definitely check this out!

  2. I would love to support this idea -- it's a good one! I'll be watching for your pictures. I'm not sure I will be able to make progress personally, but I'll give it a try!
