I began the process by having an idea in mind of how I wanted the room to flow. I had worked on it previously a bit, but it all wasn't flowing quite right. I decided that there needed to be some sort of bins by each play area with that specific type of toy in each bin. For example-all the dollhouse toys are in a pink rubbermaid bin next to, or inside the dollhouse. Play with the dollhouse, when you are finished, put the toys back in the bin before moving on to the next thing.
The basket next to the storage drawers is dolls and stuffed animals.
Play dishes and food are in a bin next to the play kitchen, Nathan's tools are next to his little workbench set, etc... And here's the full view of most of the room! On the other side is my sewing area, and Nathan's tool bench is in the corner in which I am standing to take this picture!
So, there you have it. Another tackle finished. The closets and Master Bedroom are still in good shape and looking good! My next and bigger tackle is my kitchen and pantry. Ugh. I'm seriously putting it off. Haha! Other than that, there are just a couple of areas yet to work on-like under the sink in the bathroom off the kitchen, and the entertainment center-organizing maybe a bit and weeding through videos and such. Not a whole lot really. I am so pleased at the progress! After all this is through, then I have to go through garage sale stuff and get it ready to move outta the garage! Hurray!
Looks GOOD!! Wow, what a great room!! Wish we had a whole room for playing in... =)
ReplyDeleteSarah, you are a genius at organizing! this looks great and very workable!
ReplyDeleteLove ya,

Oh, I love the size of this multipurpose room. I'd love to have one like that. It's seems so sunny and bright, most of our rooms are darker. Our porches knock out the natural light.
