Cloth Diaper Pants (or Big Butt Pants-lol!)

I got to do a little sewing today!

I really wasn't feeling all too well, (allergies? a cold?) so instead of working out like I was supposed to... ( naughty me) I sewed instead. I made a pair of Big Butt Pants (LOL!!)
See that cute "big butt"? ;) It's a nice padded one.....

They were slightly tricky to figure out. Mainly the back panel was hard, but once I was past that step, they were really quite easy.

I love the extra room that the panel gives these pants. It makes them exceptional for use along with cloth diapering. I have gotten back into cloth diapering a bit more with Rebecca. Seems easier now that she is a bit older... But a big problem I run into is that you have to get such huge pants in order for them to fit over the top of a cloth diaper. These have the back panel in them making the rear area so much roomier and therefore they accomodate a cloth diaper beautifully!

I love how they turned out! :) Hannah has a skirt out of the same print!

I will definitely be making more of these pants. The pattern holds out sooo many variations- such as a ruffle bottom! How cute would that be?!

So go check it out! Big Butt Pants

Happy Sewing!

  1. Kristin shared a cloth diaper site with me called Nickisdiapers.com. They have all kinds, shells and inserts. What kind do you use? She used Best Bottom with Michael.
