In The Raw

upon our return from Florida we decided (mike and i) that we wanted to take 3 days and do all raw juicing and green smoothies.
We just felt like our bodies needed a little reboot.
So I went to the grocery store and stocked up.
With 25 pounds of fresh carrots (haha!)
And lots of bananas and a watermelon and 2 canteloupes.And a fridge filled with apples, cucumbers, lettuce, kale, collards, celery, grapes, oranges, tomatoes, strawberries and more.
And we juiced and smoothied for 3 days.
It was a bit hard the 2nd day. But honestly after we were done with our 3 days? We could have just kept right on juicing, smoothies and salads for several more days.
We felt good and had energy!
Mike and I did a ton of outside gardening and yard work during those 3 days and didn't have much trouble at all maintaining a busy workload.
Would I do it again? Sure!
How about you? Have you ever done a short term fast from cooked food?
One things for sure-there were a whole lot less dishes to wash!!
