Worms

Hannah is holding worms!
Did I hold worms when I was her age?
I can't even recall.
I DO know that I don't really care to hold them now, that's for sure!
But they are so enthralled with them!
We moved a barrel off the grass... it had been sitting there all winter long.
Evidentally the worms decided it was a very good place to live because the kids found 6 or 7 of them in the moist brown dirt under that was under the barrel.
Rebecca curled her nose up in puzzled disgust. Honestly? I think she would have rathered leave those worms alone. Her curiosity is pretty strong though. *smile*My backyard garden area is almost complete!
Since this picture was taken I added dirt to the barrel and planted it full of Zinnia seeds-all different varieties. I filled the birdbath with water and I hope to be adding a little bench or seat. I also will be planting a couple of little tea roses along the wall by the barrel. I am happy with how it is turning out! Compared to the mess it was before! We transplanted the LARGE butterfly bush that sort of took up the whole area to a nice place in the yard. It is much happier there... hehe!
So tell me.... DO YOUR CHILDREN PLAY WITH WORMS??? *big smile*
Happy Spring!

  1. I don't have children, but I know that I sure did my share of playing with them. Growing up I loved, worms, grasshoppers, frogs, daddy long legs, snails and my all time favorite - lady bugs. That is until I learned not to trust EVERYTHING Walter said...He told me to eat a lady bug when I was somewhere between Rebecca and Hannah's age and of course I trusted and obeyed him. Yuck! Today I dislike all in the above list!
