Weary, But Persevering

I'm feeling weary tonight. Bone weary. It seems to be a familiar drift this week in the blogosphere, I'll be sharing a few links in a bit.
I sit in front of the computer screen, staring vacantly at it for what seems like hours, trying to configure an outstanding, witty, encouraging and beautiful blog post. But not too many words surface on to the page. My mind feels drained from the many tasks of motherhood. Multi tasking with homeschool, piano practise, hungry children reaching for the fridge when it's not meal time and I seemingly just fed them 20 minutes ago, trying to cook healthy meals and keep up with the never ending pile of dishes and laundry. The list of to-do's is endless and I collapse into bed each night and strive to do better the next day. I make lists in my head and I try to configure ways to get the kids to obey better... The next day comes and I feel overwhelmed, like I'm drowning once again, its like a rat race....
God is so gracious though, friends. He provides us with encouragement just when we need it. This week I read more blog posts written by weary, but persevering moms than I have read in a long time. They each have a slightly different story, but they are all along the same theme.  They were such a blessing to me. Today, I would love to share them with you so that you too can hopefully be blessed by these mothers as well.

Let's remember, dear mothers, that we are in this together!
Let's lean on Jesus, He is the only way we will ever keep faithfully persevering. He is the only One who can give us true joy amidst the chaos of life. He is the only One who can give us the strength to disciple our children. He is the only One who grants wisdom to know what to do in every situation.
He is the only One.
Keep Pressing on!

  1. Weariness is right!! Multi-tasking and so many interruptions while trying to accomplish something...and crying out in hunger when I Just Fed You!! I'm there too. Praying for you, girl. Remember to rest when you can and get help if you're crashing. :)
