Art on a Weekend

It was a gloriously sunny afternoon. Perfect temperatures. A relaxing Sabbath afternoon. Baby was napping....
I got out the paints and some thin canvasses that I had gotten a while back for "such a time as this"
and we pulled the little picnic table out onto the back porch and set up the paints and brushes and cups for rinsing and the paper towels.
And let's please not forget the large pitcher of ice cold lemonade with fresh lemon slices and ice...
And we all sat outside, soaking in the sunshine, drenching our canvasses with color.
Rich colors, pastels, imaginations soaring, paint brushes swish swashing color across the canvass.
Master pieces. Each one. And our minds were renewed, our spirits refreshed....
...and mom cleaned up the mess....
